I think Amal was feeling a bit of happiness as she walked to the market by herself without her siblings. She was feeling things were going to get better as she bought one of the last pomegranates at the market which may have been a sign of hope. However, according to the text in Chapter 10, while she was crossing the street, she got hit or knocked over by a car and the man wanted to take her pomegranate. She finally stayed strong and said “no” and she decided to take off running. She may have lost hope.
Yes I agree, and it was very rude that the man wasn’t watching where he was going and hit Amal. I’m glad Amal said “no.”
I agree! Also the man shouldn’t have tried to get Amal’s pomegranate right after he hit her with a car.
I disagree. she it sees that everything is wrong at the start.
I agree! I do think that is was wrong for the man to not be looking where he was going and hit amal.
